This  section is the main reason for building the website – to provide a place to showcase the natural history of the Rainy River District. This will be an on-going project requiring  many years to complete. Well, to be honest, an impossible task – there is just too much to learn about any one area! Except where credited, all of the photos in this website were taken by Ilka Milne or Bob Saunders. We welcome photos of plants and animals from the region taken by others, and all photos will be credited if they are used. We also welcome articles about the natural history of the area. As the saying goes, “Many hands make work light”.
